anyone who knows me well knows i’m a scorpio devotee. my 3 closest friends are scorpio suns and over the past 15 years they’ve redefined “safety” for me.
scorpio will go to the ends of the earth to protect what they love, and will refuse to compromise on their values and principles.
they show up and stay when things get hard. their commitment isn’t unconditional, but when the conditions are met they’re in it for the long haul.
scorpio’s intensity frightens and overwhelms people who aren’t accustomed to it — but this intensity is the most comforting, caring, protective force in my life.
the scorpio ethic of care says: i’m here, i’ll stay as long as you need me, i won’t flinch at your darkness. i’m picking you up in 5 minutes, let me handle the hard stuff, do you need me to fight them for you? if you hate them, i hate them too. i’m busting you out of here, i’ll figure out the details later, i’m going to stay on the phone with you until you fall asleep. you’re not a burden — i love carrying you.
during the absolute hardest, most painful periods of my life, i’ve been blessed to have at least one scorpio accompanying me. their presence has kept these painful experiences as just that, preventing them from becoming hard-coded into my DNA as trauma. when i say scorpio is protective, i mean that so literally 🦂🖤
